Tractor FC [4] v's Selby Squad [9], 27nd October, 2003.
TFC miss out on historic claim to fame
A confident team took to the pitch to play a newcomer in Selby FC, and with the prize of finishing
off a year unbeaten, there was a real sense of optimism and desire in the air. Unfortunately nothing
was to come of these thoughts as an energetic and hungry Selby FC started successfully picking off a
bewildered TFC team.
TFC - Players with a sense of style
With all shots successfully stretching the net of TFC the margin quickly grew to 4 goals and it was
only a weak response that attempted to turn over the inevitable. Again though one player whose
mercurial skills have frequently been commented on in the past, produced but one fine piece of skill
worthy already of the goal of the season. In the centre of the pitch the ball fell to earth
20 yrds out and Ed stood up to take it – first time, on the volley, left footed – thank you very much!
All in all a match to forget!
