Tractor FC [12] v's Bowen FC [0], 9th February, 2004.
Bowen FC washed white at Plough Lane, commentry by Rob Bowen, captain Bowen FC
Last night saw these 2 sides meet for the 3rd time since 2002. Bowen FC
were bristling with confidence before kick off- regardless of TFC’s previous
victories in March 2002 (15-5) and Feburary 2003 (10-0).
Any confidence sapped away from the Bowen 7 when they saw the Suckling/Big
Tim defensive partnership form. They dwarfed Battersea Power Station in the
background as they continued to squash every bowen FC attack. TFC were clinical
in the attack too, snappy passing, aided somewhat by Ben ‘the hanger’ Hawkes standing
in the Bowen goal!! The finishing was impecable though and at 5-0, Alexis,
Max and Rob were all guilty of filthy tackles in an attempt to restore some
pride.
After a quick turn around and a roasting from the Gaffer, Bobby found himself grateful of a free transfer to EasyJet FC
In the end the best team one, with yet another double digit score. The
Bowen 7 are down but not out.....can we have a 5 goal headstrart?
Man of Match: Hawksey
Teams:
TFC: Phil, Charlie, Ed, Ben, Fred, Tim and Tom
Bowen FC: Rob, Max, Alexis, Burbs, Ed S, Marvin, Bobby
