Tractor FC [5] v's Tony's Trap FC [3], 25th April, 2002.
Tractor's plough forward to record home win

Arriving mid pitch invasion at Holland Park on Sunday afternoon, it soon became clear that our game was not one that was going to go unnoticed, and from the autograph queues that gathered after the game, it just goes to show how appreciated the talent on display was. The game itself finally began when Tony escorted the last hooligan from the pitch and Crispin kicked off. It was to be the latters first touch of a glorious half that saw the young Swede score three times; once a tap-in set up by Oli, a second gifted from Tony's powerful clearance, the third blasted Roy of the Rovers-esq from close range. On either wing forwards and backs interchanged well providing the basis of our attacks, with a fantastic diving header effort from Bournie narrowly flying just wide.

At the other end Tony's XI fought hard on a concrete pitch that made any form of ball control hard. Getting a well taken goal mid way through the first half and then blasting another that rebounded off the underside of the cross bar, Tony's team were well back in the match and thus it was a happy if not relieved TFC that called half time with the score standing at 3-1.

After the break tactical changes saw Crispin go back in goal leaving Nick NB to sure up our defence. Wilko also went up front and Tim entered mid field as the Christmas tree formation came out the bag, mid Easter, in a deliberate attempt to fox the opposition. It did not work. The Lawyers proceeded to dominate the mid field getting another goal back after a mazy run, 3:2. Then, in possibly one of the best moves in the game, the Gaffer broke down the right and crossed it in the mixer where, on the end of a 50 yard run, Buenous struck it first time on the half volley into the roof of the net. Ed added another 10 minutes later and in the end the final whistle blew with the score 5:3, but only after Ed 'Tractor' Tremayne had somehow saved a shot from point blank range with the most casual of cat like reactions.

For the Tractors: Nick NB, George, Eddie T, Jamie, Tim, Saddam, Oli, Nick Bourne, Gaffer, Crusty, Wilko
For the lawyers: Charlie, Tony, Max, Killaman, Ashley, Christian, Jim
